State Senate Candidate Jim Madigan Introduces A Legislative Proposal And Website For
"A Fair Vote On Video Gambling Machines In Chicago"

CHICAGO: Democratic candidate for State Senate Jim Madigan is proposing legislation that will reduce the number of signatures required to put the question of banning video gambling machines on the Chicago ballot.

The candidate forum Wednesday night provided the first opportunity for voters to see the two candidates facing off in the Democratic primary together. The discourse was civil and polite with each candidate agreeing on several issues. There were however key differences that demonstrated that Jim Madigan is the type of leader needed in the 7th Senate District.

Steans' Campaign Engages in a Pattern of Deception
Yesterday, Senator Steans' first direct mail piece landed in mailboxes in the 7th District. The focus of the piece is that Steans is a budget expert and has budget experience.
The mailer states: "In her previous role as the Wisconsin state budget director, Heather helped balance the state budget...."
She was NOT the state budget director. She did not even work in the state budget office.
